RCOG World Congress 2018 will run a host of Congress Workshops on Wednesday 21 March 2018 and one Post Congress Workshop on Sunday 25 March 2018.

Both half-day and full-day hands-on and didactic workshops are available for selection.

Congress Workshops are not included in the Main Congress Registration fee.

Only registrants of the Main Congress are eligible to apply for the Congress Workshops.

Introduction

Join us for this 1-day workshop conducted by Professor Sir Sabaratnam Arulkumaran which will provide participants with a comprehensive summary of CTG interpretation and its pitfalls. It will comprise lectures, review of actual clinical scenarios and CTGs. There will also be a pre- and post-workshop test to reinforce learning.

Topics covered will include:

  • The CTG & current guidelines
  • Understanding fetal heart rate control and pathophysiology of fetal hypoxia in labour with the aid of CTG
  • CTG patterns in types of hypoxia in labour & rational use of guidelines on CTG in Clinical Practice
  • Understanding ‘fetal acid-base balance’: role and timing of additional tests of fetal well being

This full day workshop will provide hands-on intensive supervised laparoscopic training through animal lab surgery. The workshop will focus on laparoscopic port entries, laparoscopic techniques in dissection, haemostasis, suturing to tackle simple or complex surgeries, and also managing surgical complications laparoscopically without conversion to laparotomy. This will be facilitated by renowned international practicing faculty from whom you will enjoy personalized coaching.

Introduction
This workshop aims at equipping the participants with an advanced understanding of colposcopy and the management of cervical and lower genital tract. The 1-day workshop consists of didactic lectures exploring topics like the role of HPV Test in screening, management of preinvasive disease, and principles of electrosurgery and laser. The LEEP practical session allows the participants to practice or fine-tune the technique of LEEP using the simulator to give a realistic clinical experience.The advanced workshop will also include a bonus segment on laser to allow participants to appreciate the application of laser technique in the treatment of gynaecological diseases.

This course is accredited by the BSCCP (British Society for Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology) Certification and Training Committee.
